Past relationship with the dealership. I have always enjoyed working at the dealership while my car was being serviced. The service advisors have always been responsive over the past 20 years. I contacted Kyle Werk from an email broadcasting the sale, and he arranged for Lorenzo Monteleone, Sales Associate, to pick me up at the Palatine Metra station on Thursday August 28. By the time Lorenzo and I arrive at Werk, Lorenzo had already qualified me for the type of Jetta that would suit me, and we had seleted a car selected in 10 minutes. Lorenzo utilized his time wisely and minimized the purchase of a vehicle at Werk. From start to finish, I was in the vehicle returning to the city within 3 hours after selecting a car.

Well I was told that buying tires that I have roadside assistance, but was given no directions for how to access or use the service. I will be calling before my next trip for info on this.

My salesman Brock was great but the rest of the experience was horrible. The new car I purchased has issues with the moon roof and after having the car home for 2 (it had under 300 miles on it) days it broke. 4 weeks later I was finally able to pick up the car as it was supposed to be fixed but as I drove away I found the sun shade hanging down and it was not fixed. After going right back to the dealer both he Sales and Service managers told me they would personally oversee that it was fixed and they would keep me updated... 2 weeks later I did not receive a single call, text or any communication as to what was going on. I had to followup again with the dealership and only then did we start to inmate a plan to make things right. In the end I had to return the car, purchase a new one. While this was a big inconvenience I felt this was making things right but when I went back in to sign the paperwork it was wrong! The finance person was telling me I needed to put $4-$5k down just to have the same payments as the original car!!! Turns out there was an inadvertent "error" in the paperwork where they claimed they mistakenly read a 4 for a 9 somewhere and that inflated the totals. I get that things happen but after everything that went wrong with the car the least the leadership could have done is make sure my paperwork was right (I couldn't make it in until after 6:30 and the sales manager had already left for the day) instead of having me argue with the finance manager just to have him leave the room, call Patrick and come back and tell me that I was correct. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever been through.

Didn’t get synthetic oil. Wasn’t told getting regular oil. Would have paid extra for synthetic oil.

The experience at the Palatine volkswagon was Fantastic and Patrick was awesome! The service was awesome. I would definitely buy a car there again.
