Trims

The Volkswagen Arteon is available in three different trims. The Arteon SE R-Line is the base trim. The Arteon SEL R-Line trim adds 4MOTION all-wheel-drive with active control and driving mode selection, alongside a host of other features and add-ons. The Arteon SEL Premium R-Line comes standard with a Harman Kardon premium audio system, center speaker and subwoofer, an overhead area view camera, and heated first and second-row seating, among other features.

Performance

The VW Arteon powertrain features a turbocharged 16-valve DOHC 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a seven-speed Tiptronic DSG automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive that generates up to 300 horsepower. The VW Arteon comes standard with driving mode selection, eco-mode selection, and an engine start-stop system. This Volkswagen sedan also features an XDS cross-differential system, variable ratio electromechanical power steering, and multimode DCC with adaptive chassis control.

Design

The VW Arteon exterior features an adaptive front lighting system with cornering lights, automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillights. This full-size sedan also has poor weather lights and a hands-free, easy-open, easy-close remote power rear hatch. The SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line exteriors feature heated, power-folding side mirrors and a power tilt and slide panoramic sunroof. The Volkswagen Arteon also comes standard with rain-sensing, variable intermittent front wipers.

The VW Arteon interior features a 60/40 split-folding back seat with an armrest and center passthrough. The Arteon interior has heated front seats and sport seats featuring power lumbar. The base Arteon SE R-Line is equipped with V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces. The VW Arteon SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line feature leather seating surfaces and multi-color adjustable ambient lighting. Stainless steel pedal caps are standard.

Tech Features

The heated, leather-wrapped, multi-function sports steering wheel features touch control and shifting pedals. The VW Arteon also has an eight-inch navigation touchscreen featuring AM/FM/HD radio. Smart device integration is also standard.

This Volkswagen sedan also comes equipped with keyless access and push-button start. Remote engine start is also available. The Arteon dash has a 10.25-inch VW digital cockpit pro configurable digital instrument display. The VW Arteon sedan also provides wireless charging and multiple USB-C data ports.

Safety

The VW Arteon has an advanced airbag protection system featuring six airbags. An anti-lock braking system, hydraulic brake assist, and brake-pressure distribution are all standard. The VW Arteon sedan also provides an anti-theft alarm system with an engine immobilizer. The Volkswagen Arteon also features a blind spot monitor with rear traffic alert, dynamic road sign display, forward collision warning, and front assist autonomous emergency braking.

Other safety systems include anti-slip regulation, electronic stability control, engine brake assist, and electronic differential lock. The height-adjustable front safety belts have load limiters and pre-tensioners, and LATCH is equipped in the rear. The VW Arteon also has a tire pressure monitoring system, side curtain protection, and a rearview camera system. This Volkswagen also features an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function.
