The service was for the "urgent" door handle recall which had been issued by VW last year and for which no parts were available at the time, and for a software recall. My complaints: 1) I had to keep calling my dealer back to see if and when the parts were in stock with no meaningful communication the other way from them 2) After finally scheduling the service, I was called back to reschedule the appointment because the only technician who could do it was going on vacation 3) The software update could not be downloaded, then failed to install and the dealer had to keep my car for 3 extra days 4) The dealer did not call me on day 2 or 3 and I had to call each day for an update 5) I was given a loaner, a large gas-guzzling Atlas which was fine, but not really So, all told this was not a good experience, both on the dealer side and on the VW corporate side.
